We created a 'Easter Garden' with the kids this year. On Palm Sunday we collected stones, moss, and leaves and built the grave, a hill where we would put the cross on top of it on Good Friday and we put up stones to represent Jerusalem. The leaves we put down on Palm Sunday and celebrated the coming of Jesus to Jerusalem. It was great to see the kids dive in the story of salvation and seeing them understand what Jesus did for us. On Easter Sunday we removed the big stone from the grave and put a tea light in front of it and Joela and Lilli decorated the moss with flower petals. Definately want to that next year again.
